Biography
Dr. Richard Wellings manages the Institute of Economic Affairs contributions to Enterprise Africa! He is the Deputy Editorial Director at IEA and principally works on the production of the IEA monograph series as well as the journal, Economic Affairs.
He studied at the University of Oxford and received his Ph.D. at the London School of Economics in 2004. His thesis examined the development of British transport policy from a public choice perspective. Subsequently, he worked for an environmental and engineering consultancy, before joining the IEA in September 2006. His research work has recently appeared in the IEA publication The Railways, the Market and the Government (2006).
